2011 will be a good year for polish exportation. Biggest winners are meat producers.
“In 2011 our incomes from beef exportation will be 40% higher than la year earlier” Ryszard Solarek, the president of Łmeat, the main meat company in Poland says. In first half of the year, the company exported mainly to Turkey. However, after rising the duties there, the company found new foreign markets. Currently, they sell beef mainly to Iraq, Iran and recently, to Egypt.
Mr. Smolarek explains that this year exportation of polish beef is boosted by EU subsidies. Brussels subsidies sales of this product to third party markets, outside the Commonwealth. From recently publicized Famm/FAPA report results that beef was of these products that exportation was quickly rising in first half of the year. The biggest surprise was pork meat – the exportation has risen of 60% to 272.4 million euro. On the other hand, the exportation of poultry rose to 377 millions. In first half of the 2010 was nearly 20% lower.
In total , Poland has sold groceries for approximately 7.1 billion euro, improving the number by 13%. Economists say that end of the year should be successful as well. Polish grocery exporters are fostered by weak currency. However, in future, much depend on biggest German market. Other important destinations of polish groceries are Great Britain, Czech Republic and France.

According to Janusz Lewandowski the decision whether Poland will join the euro area may already be taken in spring. Tadeusz Mosz has no doubts about the necessity of joining the eurozone by Poland and he also believes that the country should do this as soon as possible, although not all of the formal conditions are complied yet. During an interview recorded by TOK FM, the chief noted that even though Poland does not comply with all the conditions, it should negotiate them.
One of the reasons of the downturn in economy growth is the drop in internal consumption. Polish society is getting poorer and people can afford less and less. In the meantime, according to the latest information the growth of salaries of the board of directors in join-stock companies in 2011 increased in 18%, and the growth of salaries of these companies’ chairmen increased in 20 percent. Apparently, there is no social solidarity in Poland. Social differentiation is slowly and systematically deepening. According to data from 2008 – 20 percent of the richest part of Polish society is 5,1 times richer than 20 percent of the poorest part of this country. If we take into consideration data relating to the growth of salaries, the increase in disproportion will be more obvious.
